At Gallagher, we make success happen. We are stronger as one team and together we continually strive to make a difference, whether it’s for our clients, our colleagues or our communities.
We are committed to helping our people grow and succeed, and invest heavily in learning and development at every level, from brokers and people leaders to support roles. Through our study support programme we encourage those new to the insurance industry to become professionally qualified advisers.
We offer a range of benefits to suit individuals including:
We were recognised at the 2023 HRD Awards as an Employer of Choice in the >200 staff category, and were also recipients in 2021 and 2020. This award was an acknowledgement of achievements and initiatives that support the employee experience.
In 2020 we were named in the Top Insurance Workplaces list. The report recognised employers for excelling in areas including remuneration and training, diversity, access to technology, health and rewards schemes.
At Gallagher, we’ve been helping to protect what’s important to people and businesses for more than 95 years.
Gallagher is one of the world’s top three insurance brokerage and risk management companies, with a global network of brokers in over 130 countries. Previously known as Crombie Lockwood in New Zealand, we have a long history of helping New Zealanders with their insurance needs.
As expert advisers, we identify and arrange business, rural, personal and life and health insurance on behalf of around 115,000 clients. One of the leading broking companies in New Zealand, our teams of 1000 broking professionals are based in over 30 offices around the country.
Although we became a part of the Gallagher network in 2014, we took up the global Gallagher brand name in 2023 to further increase our ability to access more insurance products and pricing options from international insurers. Our local business, which was established in 1978, is still led by two of our Kiwi founders, Steve Lockwood and Carl O’Shea.
